Payson Airport will receive $883,180.00 from the Department of Transportation. Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport is a non-hub primary airport associated with Bullhead City, Arizona. This project reconstructs 4,180 feet of the existing access road that ties the public highway to the airport. This grant will provide federal funding for the Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport associated with Bullhead City, Arizona. Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport will receive $1,579,439.00 from the Department of Transportation. We are very grateful for this FAA funding and this is a perfect time to get this project completed," said Jeremy Keating, Airport Director at Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport. This project is a crucial piece of our capital improvement plan and improved airport customer/user experience. "Our Airport entrance road is falling apart and we’ve been planning on reconstructing for a few years. I look forward to working with Congressman Gosar in the future and consider him the hardest working and best Congressman," said Tom Morrissey, Mayor of Payson, AZ. “The Town Of Payson and the surrounding communities are most appreciative of this funding and consider it a bridge to tomorrow in our future. These much-needed improvements will help our airports better serve our community and the many visitors they serve each year," said Congressman Paul Gosar. "I'm excited to announce new funding made available for several of our local airports. This money is directed at safety improvements, including the installation of vertical and visual guidance systems and to upgrade and rehabilitate taxiway lighting. The three airports include: Bullhead City, the Town of Payson and Colorado City. (AZ-04) announced additional funding made available to Arizona's airports. The combined funding is almost $3,000,000 for the Fourth Congressional District, and comes on top off and in addition to the millions previously allotted last month under the CARES Act.
